NOMAD

Designed to follow you everywhere.
The NOMAD portable loudspeaker combines performance and versatility. Whether on a stand, on the floor or on a table, it adapts to any situation for optimal sound reinforcement.

Three modes of use.
The NOMAD adapts to every configuration: front of house, monitor or combined. Its versatile format allows floor, vertical or inclined installation, as well as use on a speaker stand. It features a standard pole mount, concealed behind a removable cover when the stand is not in use.

A compact loudspeaker with plenty of power.
The NOMAD features Class D bi-amplification delivering 200 W RMS, up to 400 W peak, for a maximum sound pressure level of 121 dB SPL at 1 m. A level suited to stage monitors, DJ monitoring, or voice and music playback, indoors as well as out.

Its bi-amplification meets the most demanding standards: total harmonic distortion below 0.1 % and a background noise level measured at less than -64 dB.

The sound precision of a coaxial.
The loudspeaker uses an 8″ coaxial driver, with a 1″ Peek diaphragm high driver and a bass-reflex system. The result is precise, non-aggressive reproduction whatever the listening level or the distance from the cabinet: clear highs for voice and instruments, dynamic and well-defined lows, and consistent accuracy across the spectrum with even 75° coverage.

Guaranteed pure sound.
At the heart of the NOMAD, an Analog Devices processor manages inputs, outputs, effects and mixing. The signal, digitised by a 56-bit Dual A/D converter, delivers a signal-to-noise ratio above 100 dB, measured at 104 dB.

Purity and versatility.
The NOMAD accepts all your sources: guitar, bass, keyboard, microphone, DJ controller or external PA. You can also plug in a smartphone, tablet or computer, wired or wirelessly. No DI box or preamp needed: choose the mode, set the level, and the speaker handles the signal.

Up to 12 hours of battery life.
Thanks to its built-in, removable lithium battery, the NOMAD runs for up to 12 hours continuously, away from any mains socket and with no loss of power. The battery recharges automatically as soon as the speaker is plugged in: no external charger, and no need to switch the speaker off while charging.

On the road and at home.
The mini-jack headphone output lets you use every NOMAD feature without disturbing anyone. Its linear amplification preserves the balance between instruments and effects even at low volume — ideal for rehearsing at home.

Built-in professional effects.
The two Mic / Line inputs feature a professional reverb, adjustable directly from the mixer, plus 3-band equalisation. The two Mic / Instrument inputs offer the same reverb, an adjustable chorus and 2-band equalisation, suited to acoustic or electric guitars.

A 2.1 A USB port powers a tablet or a smartphone during the performance, keeping scores, lyrics or music apps within reach.

Bluetooth 5.0 and wireless stereo.
The NOMAD features Bluetooth 5.0: extended range, reduced latency and better resistance to interference. Connect a smartphone, tablet or computer to stream your music wirelessly. The speaker remains backwards compatible with earlier Bluetooth generations, and the mini-jack input is always available for a wired connection.

True Wireless Stereo technology allows playback in genuine stereo: connect your source to a first NOMAD, then pair a second one. The two synchronise automatically to split the left and right channels, with no perceptible latency.

When you love it, you protect it.
The NOMAD has rubber protectors on two faces, designed to absorb vibration and protect the cabinet from scratches, whether the speaker sits on the floor, upright or tilted as a monitor.

The optional COV-NOMAD bag is made of sturdy, hard-wearing fabric with a zipped closure, a handle and an adjustable shoulder strap. It protects against knocks, dust and splashes.

A dedicated app.
The NOMADcontrol app, available on the App Store and Google Play, controls the speaker from a smartphone or a tablet.

The Master tab sets the overall level and selects the output mode according to the speaker’s position. The Channel tab manages CH1 to CH5 separately — volume, equalisation and effects, with a Mic / Line selector and phantom power on CH1 and CH2, a Line / Guitar selector and chorus on CH3 and CH4, and a stereo line or Bluetooth source on CH5. The Scenes function saves and recalls every setting. Finally, the Firmware section checks the installed version and runs the update, without a computer.
